BE A DISCIPLE AND TAKE THE NEXT STEP!

This introductory course consists of 5 sessions

In this course we will cover the foundational teachings on Christianity. It serves as an introduction on basic topics such as: SALVATION / BELIEVERS BAPTISM, THE HOLY SPIRIT, SPIRITUAL GROWTH, THE CHURCH and THE GOODNESS OF GOD. This course repeats throughout the year and you can join at any time. Jesus is at the centre of who we are and what we do at Cross Culture City Church. This course also provides an opportunity to get to know us better along with an application for membership. An ENCOUNTER with God and His church is what we need for us to start our journey of faith together.

This foundational experience consists of 10 sessions.

The Father EXPRESSed His love for us when He gave up Jesus to die in our place and to save us. As a response to His love for us we are called to love Him and love people. We can only do this well when we get Father God’s revelation on His love for us. 1 John 4:16 says: “…We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them…” (NLT). Our Heavenly (Abba) Father’s love heals and restores us from the inside out. He wants us (His church) to represent Him well to those around us.

This program is designed to empower and equip you for the work of ministry.

(Ephesians 4:11-12)

The EMPOWER program includes a number of specific courses, seminars and other materials. In Ephesians 3:16 the Apostle Paul prays the following for the church: “…from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit…” (NLT). Along with this in Hebrews 13:21 we read: “…may He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen…” (NLT). This implies that every Child of God is called into ‘Full-time’ ministry. This might look different from person to person, however. God has given you an assignmentand a calling that is specific to your life. This program can empower and equip you to finish strong.  

This exciting track provides training and opportunities for us to put into practice what we believe and what we have been taught.

In Matthew 6:10 Jesus gives His church an apostolic mandate when He teaches us how to pray: “…Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” (NIV). We can act (practically) on this mandate and reach out to those who are far from Him. We can start at home by reaching those around us. Along with this we can go onto the streets of our community to engage people with the message of the Gospel. We can also go beyond our borders into all the world to continually EXTEND His kingdom. We are His hands and feet. We are salt and light. We are a city on a hill. We are His church and may He use us for His plans and purposes. We get to partner with Jesus in seeing this kingdom mandate fulfilled. We will from time to time announce outreach programmes and trips for you to participate in.
